The glove material was tested by Akron Rubber Development Laboratory (ARDL) for resistance to chemotherapy drug permeation using ASTM D6978-05.
At the tested concentrations, 13 of the 15 drugs showed no breakthrough during the 240-minute laboratory test. Minimum breakthrough times were 10.4 minutes for carmustine and 90.5 minutes for thiotepa.
Results apply to the tested material and laboratory conditions. Breakthrough times are not recommended wear times.
